Most people check their horoscopes the same way they check the weather - “Oh, it’s Mercury retrograde in the constellation Aries and Pluto and Neptune are in a return transit in my 9th house - that’s nice” and then they move on with their day. Seldom does anyone actually reflect on a generic prediction for eveyrone born in the same month, stripped of everything that makes them THEM.

YouCast™ was built on a different premise: What if a forecasting tool actually knew who YOU are — your birth moment your personality wiring, your relationships — and synthesized all of that into a single, personalized daily signal?

YouCast™ was built around this EXACT premise - it’s a multi-signal, esoteric intelligence platform that fuses Western astrology, Vedic astrology, tarot, numerology, lunar cycles and so much more into a composite 5-D (no pun intended, lol) score that tracks your:

⚡ FLOW: Is the path open or blocked? - The degree to which conditions are cooperating with forward movement. High Flow means energy is on your side — act, reach out, commit. Low Flow means friction is present — plan, wait, don’t force it. Think of it as the current in the river: you can paddle either way, but you should know which direction it’s running.

⚡ CAUTION: How much risk is in the environment right now? - Not a measure of fear — a measure of signal density around risk. High Caution means the environment is sending warning signs: double-check your work, tighten your commitments, watch for things you might be missing. YouCast™‘s Relationship Insights™ engine analyzes the dimensional influence each person in your life exerts on your composite score: who is amplifying your Flow, who is suppressing your Clarity, and which relationships are creating friction you may not be consciously tracking. Each friend’s influence is broken down by compatibility mode (romantic, business, parental) and five psychological alignment drivers: MBTI resonance, Enneagram pairing, attachment style, DISC profile, and shared values.

AstroCartography That Actually Interprets

Most astrocartography tools show you a map and leave it up to you to figure it all out. YouCast™‘s AstroMap goes further! In addition to plotting your MC, IC, Ascendant and Descendant lines for all 10 planets, it also gives you 2 interpretive panels:

• When You Were Born — the planetary lines crossing your birth location, the energetic blueprint imprinted at the moment you entered this world.
• Where You Are Now - the lines nearest to your current location, with proximity scoring and plain-language descriptions of what each line means for your day-to-day life.

Tarot With Full Visual Context

For those of you whom are already intuitive, YouCast™ renders full Rider-Waite-Smith tarot card images inline within your reading for added nuanced interpretations as well as for you to utilize your own intutition to gain greater insights. Future version releases will allow you to customize which tarot deck your YouCast™ system uses for added meaning and interpretation.

How YouCast™ Protects Your Privacy

Esoteric forecasting requires sensitive data: your exact birth date, time, and geographic location — the same data historically used for identity fraud and social engineering. Most platforms ask for this data and store it on their servers indefinitely - YouCast™ does NOT store YOUR data.

Your Birth Data Never Touches Our Servers

YouCast™ uses a hybrid localStorage architecture. Your birth date, birth time, birth city, birth latitude/longitude, timezone, and current location (as well as your friends’ info) are stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage — on YOUR device, not ours. When YouCast™ computes a reading, this data travels to the server ephemerally over HTTPS (secured by Render’s infrastructure - the platform hosting the system), is used for the computation, and is never written to a database.

Our Postgres database stores your profile name, email, personality type indicators, and preference settings. It does not store — and will not accept writes of — your birth coordinates or birth time; all YOUR sensitive data, stays YOURS.

Legal Acknowledgement, Not Dark Patterns

When you enter your birth data during onboarding, you’re shown an explicit privacy modal before anything is saved:

“YouCast™ does not store your personal information on its servers. Your data is used solely for real-time computational purposes and is never retained on YouCast™‘s infrastructure. All data transmitted is encrypted via HTTPS.”

You must actively check an acknowledgement before proceeding. If you’d prefer not to share birth data at all, a Skip flow routes you through a separate acknowledgement that explains how this reduces reading accuracy — and honors your choice completely. All acknowledgements are logged to an audit table (with the exact verbiage version) for compliance traceability.

What This Means in Practice

• Your birth data is as private as your browser. If someone clears their browser storage, the data is gone from YouCast™‘s perspective — because we never had it.
• Multi-user deployments are fully isolated: users cannot see or modify each other’s profiles, friend data, readings, or acknowledgement records.
• Sentry crash reporting is enabled for observability, but is configured to scrub personally identifiable information before transmission.

What Separates YouCast™ from the Field

The closest category competitor would be a traditional astrology software package (Solar Fire, Astro.com) combined with a journaling app and a personality assessment platform. YouCast™ is the first tool to fuse all three layers — esoteric signal, psychological profile, and relational portfolio — into a single scored output with explicit privacy architecture.

What’s Ahead for YouCast™

CorticalLabs Wetware Integration

The most intriguing signal source on YouCast™‘s roadmap isn’t a planet — it’s neurons.

CorticalLabs has developed DishBrain: biological neural networks grown from human stem cells and integrated with silicon computing substrates. These wetware systems are capable of learning, adapting, and generating outputs that no conventional algorithm can replicate — because they emerge from genuine biological intelligence.

Why this architecture you might ask? Am I just tyring to nerd out or is there some real reason? There are actually 2 very good reasons:

1. Cost - everyone is familiar with the rise of the data center and all the water and energy they use; this introduces a real barrier to entry because powering each of your YouCast™s would spiral quickly. To hedge against this, integrating CorticalLabs for intenese analytics processing via my proprietary RAGS (RAG-as-a-Service) platform will allow me to reduce the expense of integrating AI into the platform.
2. the environment - because they use less power, I can achieve the same production quality while reducing my carbon footprint. Being a good steward of the environment is part of Texas Digital Serices core mission.

YouCast™‘s signal architecture is built for exactly this kind of expansion. My custom, CorticalLabs adapters will fold this signal source into a composite reading alongside planetary positions and tarot draws.

YouCast™‘s connector framework (already partially scaffolded for Google) will expand to include:

These connectors are designed as opt-in signal enrichment, not surveillance - YOUR DATA IS YOUR DATA. Each connector adds a new adapter to the fusion stack. Users authorize it, see exactly what it contributes to their reading, and can toggle it off at any time from the Settings page. The privacy architecture is identical to birth data: connector tokens are scoped minimally, and behavioral signal data is processed ephemerally rather than stored.

Combined with wetware and esoteric signals, the social connector layer will give YouCast™ a genuinely unprecedented view of the forces shaping a moment — from the movement of Saturn to the rhythm of your own voice online.

Once the CorticalLabs integrations are complete, the social media and user data connectors will be turned on and you’ll be cooking with Crisco! Or shall I say, “Interpreting” 😜

Who It’s For

Let me be blunt: YouCast™ is not for people who just want daily affirmation content. If you’re happy with a paragraph about your sun sign and a compatibility percentage, Co-Star and a dozen other apps already have you covered.

YouCast™ is for the user who is already curious about symbolic systems but frustrated that none of the existing tools give them a way to apply what they’re reading. It’s for the person who wants to understand timing — not just mood. Who wants to compare relationship dynamics across multiple dimensions, not just “are we a match.” Who wants to look back at three months of readings and see whether the signals tracked with reality.

That’s a specific kind of user. But it’s also a real and underserved one.

As a developer, I think about product-market fit in terms of the problem that isn’t being solved yet. In the astrology and insight app space, the unsolved problem is the operational layer — the jump from insight to action. YouCast™ is the first product I’ve seen that’s genuinely going after that gap with a thoughtful product structure behind it.

YouCast™ isn’t asking you to believe in astrology. It’s asking you to treat pattern recognition seriously. Humans have been mapping celestial cycles, drawing tarot, and reading the I Ching for thousands of years not because the universe is sending messages — but because these systems are remarkably good lenses for noticing what we otherwise miss. Combined with modern psychological frameworks (MBTI, Enneagram, attachment theory, DISC) and real-time biological and behavioral signals, the composite that emerges is genuinely useful — regardless of your metaphysical commitments.

That’s why I think it has real legs. Not because the astrology is novel, but because the product mechanics are.

The Beta Release Program

I also want to be clear about how the beta is going to work, because this is not a “free early peek” situation. The YouCast™ beta release program will be offered at $4.99 for access, and that decision is intentional.

The first release will be web-based while I finish tightening up bugs, smoothing out rough edges, and working through the last round of enhancements before the full product release. That gives me the fastest path to getting real usage in front of the platform without pretending the product is already in its final form.

The other reason beta access is paid is simple: usage matters. I need real metrics to establish the validity of the system, the usefulness of the platform, and the accuracy of what YouCast™ is actually producing over time. Free users often browse. Paid beta users tend to engage, test, and tell you what is and is not working.

That beta relationship cuts both ways. Users will be getting early access to the system at a low entry price, and in return they will be expected to help improve it. That means providing feedback, suggestions, logs, and usage data back to the platform so I can evaluate usability, identify friction points, and measure how well the reading model holds up in the real world.

This is not about collecting noise. It’s about building enough structured evidence to know what deserves refinement, what deserves expansion, and what is already landing the way it should.

Upon final release, beta users will also need to be comfortable providing testimonials and allowing their comments to be shared publicly on the web. If people find the system genuinely useful, I want that feedback documented clearly and honestly.

So the beta is for users who want to do more than casually poke around. It’s for people who want early access, want to help shape the product, and are willing to participate in making the platform stronger before the full release.
